Subject registration

Last modified: 31. January 2024

Information about subject enrolment can be found on the central website of the Directorate of Education at the contact details below

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that it is not possible to complete an active semester without taking a course, and it is only possible to take a course if you have registered for an active semester. It is only possible to register for an active semester and take a course if the student does not have an active payment obligation to the University with an expired payment deadline, including debts incurred in previous semesters.

Useful information:

  • it is recommended to proceed according to the sample curriculum when taking subjects;
  • please keep an eye on the Neptun/Timetable menu item and, if necessary, modify the subject selection;
  • errors occurring in the event of class clashes:

1: the student does not proceed according to the sample curriculum - the student must solve this problem individually,

2: the student did not take the course of his own campus – the course codes of the Károly Róbert Campus in Gyöngyös start with the sign "GYO" (e.g. GYOHU- N=PROG=GY01 – Methodological foundations of programming);

  • after the end of the subject enrolment period, subject enrolment and subject deletion can only be requested by means of an application, upon payment of a fee of HUF 3,500 per subject;
  • a maximum of 45 credits worth of subjects can be taken in one semester;
  • in the semester of taking the professional internship – with the exception of the bachelor’s program in Business IT Specialist – it is only possible to take exam courses;
  • students admitted in or after the academic year 2020/21 can only take a subject with an exam course if they already have a signature;
  • students admitted in the academic year or before 2019/20 can only take a subject with an exam course if they have already taken the subject in any previous semester;
  • exam courses can be found with the name "EXAM ONLY (GYO);
  • if an exam course or a previous training course cannot be found, a course listing request must be submitted, which can be started from the Courses-Syllabus-Subject interface;
  • the thesis/diploma thesis/final thesis/seminar consultation/seminar subjects are listed as general courses;
